Harvey Madison (Matt) Holaway of Guntersville passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age 67, after a battle with lung cancer.

Matt fought cancer hard, but it never stopped him from living his best life. Matt never gave up, until he heard God saying, “It’s time for more laughter in heaven, so come on home Matt.”

He was born in Guntersville, Alabama, on January 22, 1958 to Harvey D. Holaway and Martha Carolyn (Martin) Holaway of Guntersville. Matt graduated from Arab High School in 1976. He attended Wallace State Community College and was a certified air conditioning Technician but worked most of his life in construction.

Matt lived a simple life and enjoyed spending time with his wife, son, and grandchildren. Matt was saved by the grace of God and recently told others that he could not wait to be with his family members and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
