Wendell “Brian” Traylor, 63, of Arab died Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, at his home after a short battle with cancer.Brian was born August 13th, 1958, in Guntersville, AL., to Wayne and Louise Traylor. He was married to Deeanna Bodine Traylor and was a lifetime resident of Arab. He was a 1976 graduate of Arab High School.
Brian was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather, and a true friend to countless people.
He was a long-time employee of Cook’s Pest Control – undoubtedly servicing a large number in the community over his 28 years with the company.
Brian’s passion was fishing, and he particularly loved Guntersville Lake. Nothing made him happier or got him more excited than catching a large bass. He was also an avid Alabama football fan and some of his happiest moments were watching big games with his family. He was a talented home builder and had just completed construction on a home for he and his wife.
He is survived by his wife: Deeanna Bodine Traylor; son: Alex Traylor (Mattie); daughter: Sara Lynn Dunn (Tre); step-daughter: Stephanie Springfield (Erik); sister: Caren Traylor Murphree (Bobby); brother: Kenneth Traylor (Pam); grandchildren: Annah Dunn, Sawyer Springfield, and Ellie Reese Springfield; niece: Michelle Murphree Adams (Michael); and nephew Bradley Murphree (Leah); and a host of great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Louise Traylor.
Visitation and a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 from 9AM-11AM. At Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel . The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shepherd's Cove Hospice.
